Math worksheets

I found Mrs. Clowers very exciting and interesting. She has helped me to look at math instruction in a different light. I have attempted using some of the strategies suggested and have found them to be very effective. Understanding that when we use our bodies as well as our hands to learn, can make a great impact on our students. It is vital that we try to meet the needs of our students. The text presented last time is a great resource to help us do just that!

  1. Brain-based learning creates engaging lessons that are motivating and meaningful to the students. This will result in long term learning. The book will give me some more ideas of how to accomplish this for myself and share it with my mentee. This goes along nicely with the W.O.W. concept. Adding movement to lessons helps teachers create a positive learning environment and more academically successful students.

  2. I thought Mrs. Flowers was a very engaging presenter!! I think that she brought new, engaging ideas that I can take back to the classroom immediately!! What I loved the most was seeing that many of the things she suggested I am doing already in my classroom. She also brought new ideas I would never thought of. I went back the very next week and tried some new activities with the kids that they absotulety loved!!
